Bad ISP or gameserver????

Hi all,

How do i determine if the lag is coming from my Internet Service Provider or a overloaded gameserver???

Because im seeing a higher ping(and lag lots of lag) during rush hour. Is there a way to test that?? adher then www.speedtest.com.

Tracerouting is what you can use to figure out where your issues are coming from. Plenty of tools out there from tutorials to programs that show it visually.

 

You'll need the server IP and your IP. Then run the trace. You'll see the route from you to the server and see where the issue is.

As Avohei suggested the problem can be found using Traceruting, although the problem might be located on your grid. Communication with the router or with the ISP can often be interrupted by viruses, hardware issues or internal OS issues. Simple solution would be to reset your router, clear you cache or just and outdated router. If it is a software issues there are tons of applications that can be used online such as:

Guys thank you for the help. I found (i think i did) the problem to be BUFFERBLOATING https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bufferbloat

it is ganna take me some time but i will figure it out. @foreman thank you for the link its free ^^ that always good. Got a tip for testing
