Klitburger 1 Posted Wednesday at 08:38 PM Hi All, I have been playing PUBG on my original Xbox /1080P TV. I am a huge fan of the game and its pretty much the only game I play since I started. I am about to pull the trigger on a new Sony OLED TV and probably a 1X to utilize the 4k. I have heard all kinds of stories regarding the 1X as being a disadvantage when playing PUBG. Is that still the case today? If PUBG is the only game I play, should I keep the OG Xbox connected to the OLED Tv or would upgrading to a 1X be worth it in total? I am a decent player too. Cliq 275 Posted Wednesday at 08:49 PM I don't know how much a one X is today, but for about $1000 you could get a PC and play pubg at 100 FPS. Just saying.

Klitburger- Sony OLEDs have high input lag even on game mode. I saved a lot of money and bought myself a TCL 6 series to pair with my X. Ones it's setup properly games and movies look amazing and you'll save a lot of money.

Klitburger- If your into gaming then the X is the way to go for all games. As you’ll see on most comparisons of new games the old hardware cannot handle it anymore and usually run at a poor resolution with downgraded graphics. Personally I went out and bought a 4k monitor to go with my X and I’m really happy with it. I suggest doing the same unless your really set on a tv. Also ignore the people on here slating the X version of PUBG. It runs at 4x the resolution, higher textures, draw distances etc and all at the same fps as the OG. Chefboyarnie88 62 Posted Wednesday at 10:20 PM Aren’t the new Xbox’s coming out next year? I’d say save your money and get one of the new ones instead of an X.

Klitburger- I already pulled the trigger on a 1x and a LG 70in 4k, and let me tell you its a lovely set. The HDR, the 70 inches, the 4k, the 70 inches, the option to turn up or down the graphic settings, did I mention the 70 inches? Total game immersion. As for sony, not too sure. But I do know they typically buy the LG screens and then add their own hardware and software for custom calibrations. So should be a good buy either way. But you might wanna snag an SSD if you do not have one....Even if you don't use it for pubg, its a lovely luxury for other heavy duty loading games.….fallout 4, grand theft auto, ect. ect. Rubble68 19 Posted Thursday at 01:34 AM (edited) Ultimately, it’s about your own preference. I upgraded from a One S to a One X with a 60” Sharp 4K UHD TV and it made a night and day difference. I’ll explain the difference visually with an observation I made. I don’t have the original Xbox but with the One S on my 4K TV, I can see the panels on the wings of the plane prior to dropping. With my One X, I can count the rivets in those panels. Hope that helps. Edited Thursday at 01:35 AM by Rubble68
DukeSilverBlue 3 Posted Thursday at 03:21 AM Buy a monitor and not a tv if gaming is your primary focus. You are looking a are response times of 1ms not 5 or more me. Not to mention the distance your eyes have to travel to track targets on the peripheral of the screen. I don’t really see any benefit to a 4k television over a 4K monitor even if you get one that is 120hz because Xbox will never exceed 60 frames a second so it’s a relevant
LORD P 98 Posted Thursday at 08:08 AM I have the Sony tv in 50" and 55" in my house...Played on both and with the X it looks Phenomenal however I normally play on a Samsung 4k monitor bc I prefer shooters on a smaller screen.. Looks great on there too. A tv is always a great upgrade but the X makes it so much better. WAY WORTH IT! Pull the trigger bruh!

Thx in advance.
