Okay I’ve been couch gaming all my life and lately been wanting to give the desk & monitor life a try. I currently play about 5-6ft away from my tv which is a 55” Sony x900e on a XboxOneX. I do play in 4K with GameMode enabled on my tv. For those of you who made the switch from Tv to Monitor or Monitor gaming for years , what would you suggest be the best if not close best monitor for the XboxOneX? Also what should I be looking for when purchasing? Mainly looking for a 4K HDR monitor No input lag if possible Highest refresh rate for XboxOneX Lowest Response Etc. . All the goodies Any ideas or good info I need?! Trying to purchase/order today.
Three times now, in the middle of a PUBG game, all video going to my monitors straight up dies. The monitors themselves still have power going to them, but they don't recognize anything coming into them anymore. One is HDMI, one is DVI. Unplugging and replugging the connections doesn't help. Trying to alt-tab out of the game or close it any other way doesn't help. The screens are just dead until I do a hard reset on the computer. Once I was able to restart and rejoin fast enough to get back in the game. But I just lost a Top 10 placement because of... whatever this is. And it does not happen with any other game, or at any other time. This has literally never happened except with PUBG. Any idea what this or if there's anything I can do about it?
Not sure if this is a bug or a normal thing (haven't noticed it on any other fullscreen game) however when fullscreen mode activates either on startup or when activating/deactivating by alt-tabbing, it appears to affect two of my monitors instead of just the primary (or all three). Setup: Windows 10, GTX 1080 running 3 identical Samsung CFG70 144hz monitors on displayport detected and configured in order of [ 2 ] [ 1 ] [ 3 ] (monitor order) The game runs on my primary monitor [ 1 ] and fullscreen should activate on that screen by which I mean the monitor registers an input change (monitor flashes, input type appears on screen) however it causes monitor [ 2] and [ 1 ] to flash and detect the input change (see image). Also, reported by plenty others, if I bring up a UI element in-game (inventory, map, settings) I am able to move my mouse between my monitors. Interestingly though, I can interact with applications on [ 2 ] and [ 3 ] without the game minimizing or going out of fullscreen mode as if it were running in windowed-fullscreen however if I need to interact with a window on [ 1 ] I need to alt-enter to deactivate fullscreen and then alt-enter back. That, or if I make a window active directly on [ 1 ] it will minimize the game and I can just click back into it without having to alt-enter. Thoughts?
