  1. Barefoot on pavement is louder i think, but in the grass barefoot is very quiet. I think WackyJacky did a video once, and it was concluded that barefoot is generally best on Erangel/Sanhok, and shoes are better on Miramar (barefoot on sand is loud apparently). Having the same sound/noise from shoes/barefoot would make it a lot simpler.
  2. Vikendi was teased last June I think. Maybe we'll hear something soon? Honestly though it might mean removing map select in some instances, otherwise players will get spread too thin per-map w/ 5 maps
  3. They should just make barefoot/shoes sound the same honestly. Oh, and per-map outfits ^_~

    TPP plagued by Radar Hacks..

I think it's good in most places, but there are a ton of places on Vikendi where the height of things is way off (counters/doors/windows,etc.)
  5. I think it's a month
  6. Dang, why on earth did he reload lol.
  7. https://pubg.report/streams/f9eed1e7-6fc4-4ab4-be10-2c4f21a44cd8/287 I love watching them get mad lol.
  8. Yup. Staring at a bunch of dots moving around the map might look cool, but really does nothing for detecting a cheater. It provides zero context for why the dots are moving the way they are. For context you need to watch a replay which makes the telemetry unnecessary at that point. I wouldn't count you out either. I have zero proof, but I guess that's what we're doing here. Accusing everyone of cheating without proof. You're effectively doing the same thing as accusing him of cheating, when there is no evidence supporting your claim.

    SR 150% Damage in Update

Change seems fair. Original modifier was 110%. so 130% is a happy middle ground. I'll probably still use SR's despite the change.

    [POLL] bring back events?

I would like them to come back. They might cause wait times to go up overall though since it's splitting the queues up more. That being said I have fond memories doing the events when I first started playing PUBG last spring. It was a good way to learn the game before training mode came out
  11. I think you're a bit paranoid lol. Most of the pro's (like Chocotaco for instance) have many thousands of hours in this game, and they're just good. With a good headset, audio cues are easy to discern too, especially if you're experienced and know how to interpret them. Recoil control comes with practice. I can spray someone at 60-70 meters with an M4/3x scope. Does that mean I'm using recoil hacks? lol. After playing this game for a long time you get used to the recoil and spray patterns, and your aim improves greatly. I'm not saying that there aren't cheaters out there in the streaming community (particularly with the less known streamers), but in all honesty most of the A-Class streamers all look pretty legit.

    TPP plagued by Radar Hacks..

I always found it strange how TPP has more hackers (wallhacks/esp in particular) than FPP.... You'd think they would all go to FPP since it would give them an even bigger advantage since the other players have much less visibility than they do? Weird.
  13. Maybe that player at a distance was in clear line of sight -- or they were shooting at another player like mad and the player was just following the noise? All I'm saying is that you can't (and shouldn't) use that tool as your sole means to detect if someone is using ESP or not. You can get the exact same information, with far more details by watching the replay. Now if you see a guy tracing someone through walls or zero'ing in on them with zero info on the replay -- that's a much better indicator of possible ESP use.
  14. This tool does not do anything of the kind. Even if someone's dot is moving erratically (so you think), you don't know if the person they are following is exposing themselves (in the open outside of cover, shooting / making noise , etc.) You really need to watch the actual replay(s) before you pass judgment on someone.

I always liked shroud's pubg stream, no complaints here. although it is odd since he hasn't played in a while. oh well.

    150% Bolt Damage Pettition

This game incorporates realistic aspects, but it's not a requirement for every feature. Weapon damage / balancing is one of these areas. If this game was really realistic we'd be dying in single shots. The motorcycle helmet wouldn't hold up against a 5.56 or 7.62 round and you would be dead..... etc. The SR change made a lot of sense (for the M24/K98 that is -- AWM needs to be toned down) because before they were lacking in comparison to DMR's. I remember on Vikendi people would pass up the K98/M24 due to the abundance of L3 Helmets. Body shots used to tickle too.

No. One player = One voice A forum poster has just as much of a voice as a streamer does when it comes to expressing their feedback on the game. Or that's how it should be anyway. Streamers don't deserve preferential treatment when it comes to having their opinions/feedback implemented. Keep in mind that a minority of players post on the forums or provide any feedback whatsoever. So the limited number of people who engage on the test realm / twitter / forums and give Bluehole feedback are the only ones they can collect data from. If you don't participate you don't get to be heard. That being said, the random pool of players who participate in the "Feedback Process" should be an appropriately large/diverse sample that can accurately depict the overall thoughts of the community.

There's plenty of average players on the forums/twitter that can present ideas/data in a clear concise manner. A lot of the streamer fans are sycophantic in nature and will blindly support whatever streamer they idolize. Sorry -- but it's true lol. I've seen streamers like WJ post in threads on reddit and immediately afterwards his fanboys will scour the thread downvoting anyone who respectfully disagrees to -100 lol. All I'm saying is that streamers shouldn't have any special say in game balance. They are one player, one voice and should be only heard as such. The SR Change has been widely regarded as positive by the majority of posters. The only thing that there seems to be general consensus on is that the AWM needs to be toned down.

Why is the Beryl so bad?

The recoil can be controlled, and it does have marginally better DPS than the M4 (Same fire rate, slightly higher bullet dmg). But not enough to make it the best choice IMO. The M4 is a laser up to 50 meters+, whereas the Beryl you're limited to much more CQ fighting. If your bullets start missing with the beryl, it immediately becomes worse than the easier to handle M4. tl;dr - does the beryl work, and is it a good option? Yes. Is it the best option? No.

I don't think he's saying they "destroy" the game by any means. Rather that when they suggest changes to this game they are representing a very small minority that does not always reflect the best interests of the general population. This can be detrimental to the game when Bluehole is taking everything the streamers say (and their fan club), and implementing it -- even though it might be bad for the game. I do hold an overall positive opinion of most of the streamers, since they showcase some pretty good plays, and help generate enthusiasm for this game. But I don't think they should be able to unilaterally assume what is "best for the game" -- a lot of times they are biased towards what is good for them.

How is that easier with an SR then? You actually have to scope out, reload, and then scope back in for EACH shot. if someone is running it's easy to lose track of them this way. Sure -- you can hold the left-click button and see where your shots are landing, but then you lose even more time doing this between shots. With a DMR you can stay scoped in the entire time and watch where your shots are landing as you fire and adjust accordingly. It's a lot easier to land shots with a DMR because of this (IMO). Due to listed reasons above, and a DMR's increased fire-rate, it's logical to assume that it's easier to hit running targets with a DMR in a given window of time.

DMR recoil is only hard to control if you're spam clicking. If you short-pause between shots it's almost negligible (still faster than firing a bolt action, and you don't need to let your aim up at the same time)

DMR's are already easy to use. They don't need to be made any easier. I agree AWM needs to be toned down, but the K98/M24 feel like they're in a good place. Choco/Shroud and any *good* streamer will kill most people no matter what. I did see the clip you're talking about, and the guy had a Lvl1 vest. He would have been just as dead pre-SR change, because choco flanked him while he was healing. 15-20 more HP wouldn't have saved him. People are blowing this out of proportion. For the K98/M24 they are still two shot kills on vest players (aka most of the lobby after the first 2 minutes of the game) Landing shots with an SR is still easier said than done. It took me more than a thousand hours on this game before I felt comfortable enough to take a SR over a DMR because I was having a hard time landing shots (PUBG gun handling/physics isn't easy to learn for the uninitiated). Even then I would take the DMR most the time because it was more reliable. Now I feel like they are equal choices with different risks/reward. Tone down the AWM to a two-shot kill on L2+ Vests, and I think it will ease a lot of peoples' frustrations.

I feel like adjustments to the AWM are a totally separate issue ( I agree it could be scaled back a bit against L2 Vests so it's not a 1-shot ) Otherwise the SR changes are positive for the K98/M24. They don't like the change because it doesn't benefit them. They already make most of their headshots. They probably don't like the fact that taking sniper shots from other players actually hurts them now. The AWM could probably use a slight nerf, but otherwise SR are in a good place for the K98/M24. It still takes two shots to kill someone with a vest, and they have a slow fire rate, so I don't know what the big deal is. SR body shots should hurt significantly more than a DMR Body shot (justified by their slow fire rate, and increased power) -- which didn't used to be the case until now.

Horrible argument. Should we just remove DMR's entirely by your logic? Since they take less skill than a SR? Should PUBG play like a "Headshots Only" lobby of Halo? Body shots do happen, and it only makes sense that a Sniper Rifle packs a significantly bigger punch than a DMR. Previously that was not the case. I think the K98 was a 3-shot kill vs the Lvl 3 vest? Lol. Even after this change, I can pump out MORE dps with the SLR than I can with the K98/M24. So tell me again why SR's need to be nerfed and DMR's dont?
