  1. I agree the pool is sadly dropping, and most people I squad with proclaim how nobody serious even plays PUBG any more. I disagree that its only hardcore people left... many hard core are being driven away from the drop hot, shoot at everything, die right away kids who are wrecking the game. Those are the people that are making it worse for the OP... and many of us.
  2. It is the latter that are killing the game. All this people who play PUBG like it is only about kills. They are what is killing the game. Worse, PUBG seems to encourage it with its bad stat system, and the new moderators do not seem to understand what the game is and was meant to be, are okay with those players who don't play the survival game right, and the problem is only getting worse.
  3. Worse, you should get mad that the fake rank system does not discourage bad or obstructive playing.
  4. Are you serious? Do you realize how much worse you are making this game? Ranking - no penalty for not playing game right or ruining others game. Teamkillng - you are in the wrong if you act in SELF-DEFENSE, even while getting shot at, grenades thrown at you or car trying to run you over. Literally, just let idiot kids waste your entire 30 mins because they want to, and you are in the wrong. This is literally the most outrageous thing I have heard in my 3,000 hours on PUBG. Others are going to need to read this. You should really make sure Bluehole corporate leadership fully understands the ramification of your statement.
  5. The game keeps getting away from its core, and encouraging griefing kids who don't care about surviving, and since there is no ramifications, they are happy to grief their teammates till they die. I literally have dudes chasing me with cars, honking their horns. Taking shots at me. Dudes literally telling me, on the mic, they are coming to TK me. Chasing all the way across the board, even if I beg them to please just stay away from me... all the way across, even up in my little house or room, to TK me... Many dudes have caught on, and in abusing the reporting system, even come at you pointing their gun in your face or trying to TK just to draw the self-defense TK so they can report you... but it goes against your record, unless you are willing to waste the last 20 mins you spent looting and strategically getting in perfect position, just so you don't defend yourself. Ridiculous! I have had TONS of dudes TRY to TK me, and I get the TK report for self-defense. Where is the realism and accountability? If somebody tries to kill you in real life, even if they fail, they are going to be penalized, and if you kill them in self-defense, there is not even a mark on your record. This has to be corrected, and griefers intentionally trying to get you killed or kill you should be held accountable, and self-defense should not even be on your career record.
  6. These are many of the people I play with's fears realized. This is what is ruining the game. This game is not about kills. This game is not COD. This game should penalize for playing badly and dying sooner. The lack of it, and the current system, thereby rewards people playing PUBG like COD - and ruins the game. PUBG developers are now telling kids -- > go ahead, while your squad is creeping through the field, start shooting your gun in the air; start driving the car around in circles honking your horn; start breaking every window you see - until enemies hear and come and kill your teammates. Then, restart and do it again. Screw everyone else, their games or ranking, or the entire point of the game. PUBG is no longer a survival game. It is no longer last man standing, and it no longer requires good strategy. It is no longer what it was that we loved, or what made it an international sensation. As you have explained, PUBG rewards those who play PUBG as if it is COD, and does not penalize people for playing badly - let alone griefing and ruining the game for teammates because they are doing dumb things because -- there is NO penalty for playing badly, even if it is intentional. If players in any sport were able to progress in their careers just by being on the field, and there was NO penalty for literally hitting the tennis ball out of the arena over and over, or drawing attention to who the quarterback was going to throw the ball to, those games would be ruined too. PLEASE pass these concerns, in their entirety, on to developer leadership.
  7. You first claim it is NOT a skill based system, but than say that more skill ranks up faster. That does not makes sense. It's either solely XP or it considers skill. And then, you are either calculating skill on the things this game is based upon, survival time, end game rank, etc., or you base it on stuff that the game is not based upon, like K/D. Kids who ignore the game mission, and don't care about their rank or screwing their team can hot drop, and by a roll of the dice even, get a gun or camp out some people for quick kills, but then will get overrun by that player's team, and will die, wasting a spot in their squad (while their other squadmates drop tactically trying to win), but that player will just restart right away and do it again for k/d (and probably still get carried by the existing team he screwed) and get better ranking then people playing the game right. It really took some work to make a rank system that is so bad. Even games that mostly base it on seniority still give more XP points towards doing things. It makes ZERO sense that you don't get more points for having higher rankings and doing better at the end of the game. I have an average game rank per game of about 5th place now, and make top ten at least 85% of the time. But instant death team greifers, who drop hot shoot somebody, die and leave, get better rank. They play more games because they die and restart right away more. To not get more XP by the rank # you die at just ridiculous in last man standing, and is so easy to compute it makes zero sense that have not incorporated it in calculation. Even in a basic system you are talking about, there is no reason that you could not make people get more XP points for time survived and rank # at the end of the match - the exact things that are key ingredients to a last man standing game survival game. PUBG keeps slowly trying to appease Call of Duty console kids, and slowly moving away from what made the game different and great, and what made so many serious gamers, of all ages, flock to and stay for so much time with it... If you're a moderator, not only should your instant defensive arguments be more parsed, but you should be referring the concerns to the developers. No offense.
  8. Yes, and that's the point. It's not for the players that are your friends and already know you. The majority of squad games are with unknown or random teammates, just like a pick-up game at any YMCA, court or field. Those are when the code of conduct and other indicators, like the rank and stats system, mean not just everything but pretty much anything. It really took some work to make a rank system that is so bad. Even games that mostly base it on seniority still give more XP points towards doing things. 9. Maybe you have your sound turned too low, or poor quality sound card/headphones. The Devs did a great job making realistic, and more importantly directionally and tactically accurate sounds. Food steps, doors, movement are key to this game. That's why all the real players, and people who actually try to tactically use sound in the game are upset.
  10. That's a problem. It used to reflect more towards the mission of the actual game. Please make sure the developers consider fixing this sooner. You/they do not realize it, but they are are disenfranchising players. Making poor instant death, team griefing players think they are better or doing the right thing because their rank keeps going up is having serious ripples in squad games where serious players are connected with these type of people and having their games ruined. PUBG is giving positive reinforcement for negative behavior and play styles that are directly inverse to the premise, background and mission of the game that the developers created - the game that the community loved so much to make such a success.
  11. It's true, this is terrible and distracting. Now, every minute in the game sounds like what it used to sound like when your jerk teammate left his mic open and made you listen to him loot and load his guns the whole time. Most players hate this new useless noise. Please get rid of it!
  12. The new flare gun is too nerfed. Now, a flare gun is a regular crate. What's the point? Why make an exponentially slower dropping, bigger target, more dangerous crate have the same loot as a regular crate now? Maybe enough for 3 people was too much, but it should at least be enough for two people.
