  2. You make a fair point, what I would really like to know is how many people actually use it on console because "statistically very low" could mean a variety of different things in my opinion. It would be enlightening to see an actual figure.
  3. Crying on the forum is kinda the point lol the more this is discussed the more attention gets drawn to it and the quicker we'll see a resolution (I hope) So if you can't beat em join em eh? I guess that's as reasonable a solution as any others that have been offered in this discussion, but in my opinion the problem in that is the competitive nature of PUBG, and their dedication to maintaining a level playing field which is something they like to toot their horn about regularly. A fair better solution would be to incorporate split lobbies so those who want to play with M&K on console can but only with others using the same. I don't think that's an unreasonable expectation. All the same, I do look forward to seeing an end to the more toxic areas of this discussion regardless of the outcome.

First off I want to say I appreciate your point of view, not many would spend the time to have this type of discussion - That being said I would like to make a few points of my own regarding what I said - I didn't say using APIs to block third party devices was easy or even the best way to go about rectifying this issue, a far similar solution is to just incorporate split lobbies like you said but they haven't done that either and that's the million dollar question, why not? I don't pretend to know the motivations behind the developers, so to say I "cling to some random notion that every AAA developer who wants a fair fight and hates input conversion devices is choosing not to exercise some supposedly easy fix because reasons.." is less than even half true lol I acknowledge that motivations vary largely from developer to developer, but PUBG has made their stance clear in the past that they are dedicated to maintaining a level playing field, as competitive as PUBG is that makes sense, since that is the case I have to believe they have some sort of plan for this that will curb the use of M&K that won't involve a PR nightmare. That being said if third party emulators were banned, it would be well within their ability and legal right to do so. I also have a hard time seeing little handicapped Jim wanting to go to court rather than just switching to PC.

Here, I'll even follow your example and quote from someone who knows more than me, the Vice President of Microsoft Mike Ybarra - "Developers have the choice to use APIs that detect and not allow these. It’s up to them, but the capability is there." Case closed but thanks for the novel all the same lol.
  7. It's true, not everyone who uses a M&K is instantly a PUBG god lol it takes some time and practice like anything else. The point is that the "skill roof", if you will, is undoubtedly higher with a M&K, not to mention the fact that they have DPI and polling rates which controllers do not.
  8. That is the million dollar question my friend, who knows? Perhaps PUBG did not take the time to invest in a good API, but that's just speculation. As to your second question, PUBGs API should be detecting the emulator, so either it is and they just have bigger concerns right now, or it isn't because it's garbage.

Developers have the ability to use APIs that can detect AND block third party emulators, in case you're not familiar with the term, in computer programming an application programming interface is a set of subroutine definitions, protocols, and tools for building software. In general terms, it is a set of clearly defined methods of communication between various components.
  10. Not to worry, PUBG has a plan for curbing the use of these, but I share your frustration - Its bad sportsmanship at best, many look at it like cheating and at this point I'm inclined to agree, especially when I see Xbox streamers admitting that they use M&K.
  11. A far more simple solution is to just do split lobbies, there are ways of detecting these devices even if a third party emulator is being used. Personally one of the things that spark my initial interest in PUBG was the lack of aim assist, you really gotta try to hit what you're shooting at which really hikes up the realism in my opinion. They just need to make it so that people with M&K end up in lobbies only with other M&K players.

  13. There you have it folks, you can deny it, try and hide from it, but it doesn't change the facts - M&K does not belong in PUBG on Xbox

  15. I'm curious where you got the info that PUBG would be allowing native support for M&K on Xbox? As I'm sure you know Microsoft stated they would give game developers the choice of whether or not to allow this support on their game. Thus far the only definitive thing I've seen PUBG say on that matter is that they plan to curb the use of third party emulators, why would they do that just to turn around and allow native support?
  16. No offense mate but you're making an assumption, we don't know how many people use m&k on xbox only that it's "statistically very low" whatever that means, if compared to the number of controller users I'm sure it is low, still doesn't change the fact that it's bad sportsmanship at best.
  17. I disagree for 2 reasons, DPI and polling rates. Even if emulators like the XIM are garbage when it comes to button mapping, simply having the ability to use a mouse over a joystick creates an unfair advantage.

  19. Let me say my expectations were defiantly not high lol. I'm simply pointing out the fact that every other game preview like this came with a 1 hour trial, so why was that not an option with pubg? Also this is the first time I'm hearing about the full game being at a reduced rate if you purchased the preview, I was under the impression it would be full price regardless, where are you getting your info?
  20. At least now we know why they didn't do the 1 hour preview for this that Microsoft said all game like this would have. Overall I think I speak for many people when I say the 30 dollars for this game was a poor investment.
  21. I don't believe your location much matters when it comes to the crashing, I've crashed all over the map (typically every other game, sometimes more).
