Kaisuko posted a topic in Bug Reports & Known IssuesDate Seen:This bug has been around since the very early stages of the game (pre-1.0). And has persisted until now. Server: Live Error Message: N/A Other Information: This bug usually occurs when a players PC is under heavy load, or when a lot of things are going on around the player ingame (Example: Competitive late game fights/rotations). Currently active smoke grenades will either stop rendering all together, or unrender and re-start their bloom animation entirely from the affected players POV. This can render smoke grenades useless or actually kill the team that is attempting to use them. Even in the case where the animation restarts, thats 5-6 seconds that the affected player is able to "see through the smoke". A good example of this is here: https://clips.twitch.tv/PeppyUnsightlyFennelRlyTho . Notice how before he scopes in, there is a large cloud from 3 different smoke grenades, but once he scopes in on the area, the smoke grenades broke on his client and did not show up at all. This is because his computer was under heavy load as he was streaming a scrim game. Troubleshooting Attempted: N/A. Launch Options: None. System Specifications: N/A. This can happen to anyone.
Kaisuko replied to Kaisuko's topic in Bug Reports & Known IssuesCan i have a moderator acknowledge that this is being worked on? Just want to make sure its not accidentally missed.
Date Seen: Started with the release of 1.0 and new smoke grenades. Can still be reproduced very easily in-game. Server: Live Error Message: N/A Other Information: This bug is very easily abuse-able in late game scenarios. A player can prone in the circle and pop a smoke grenade on themself. They will be in a cloud of smoke from everyone elses POV, but from their own POV they will be able to see a black outline of all objects/players in between them and the blue zone. Troubleshooting Attempted: N/A. Theres nothing a player can do to stop this from happening. Launch Options: None. System Specifications: Does not matter, every player can do this.
